Malaysia initiated antidumping investigation against rebar imports

Malaysian authorities have initiated an antidumping investigation regarding reinforcing steel bar imports from China and South Korea on September 2, 2014, following a petition filed by domestic steel producer Ann Joo Steel Berhad, according to the country’s official gazette. Preliminary AD duties on rebar imports from Mexico and Turkey to the U.S.

The U.S. Commerce Department set preliminary anti dumping duties of up to 66.7 percent on imports of reinforcing bars from Mexico and duties of up to 2.6 percent on Turkish imports, on Monday, April the 21st.
