Australia imposes preliminary antidumping duty on wire rod imports from China
Australia’s Antidumping Commission has announced that it has imposed a preliminary antidumping duty against Chinese wire rod imports. Accordingly, the preliminary dumping duty rates are as follows:
- Hunan Valin Xiangtang Iron & Steel Co. Ltd – 32.1 percent,
- Jiangsu Shangang Group Co., Ltd – 28.2 percent,
- Uncooperative and all other exporters from China – 53.9 percent
The duty investigation was launched on August 12, 2015, following an application lodged by domestic wire rod producer OneSteel Manufacturing Pty Ltd. The commission will announce its final determinations on or before March 29, 2016. The goods in question currently fall under Customs Tariff Statistics Position Numbers 7213.91.00 and 7227.90.90.
