India initiates AD probe on wire rod imports from China
India’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry has announced that it has initiated an antidumping duty investigation concerning imports of wire rod of alloy or non-alloy steel, originating in or exported from China.
The investigation launched upon a complaint received from Indian producers Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), Usha Martin Limited and JSW Steel Limited, alleging that the subject goods are being dumped into the Indian market by exporters from China, thereby causing material injury to the domestic industry, covers the period between July 2015 and December 2015.
The products in question currently fall under Customs Tariff Statistics Position Numbers 7213 and 7227.
